Schooling and Training at Pachesham

There are many reasons for schooling your horse, from training a youngster to wanting to further develop the skills of a more experienced horse. And not only is the schooling important for your horse but it is a key way to improve as a rider.

Schooling and Training Clinics

Here at Pachesham we run schooling clinics throughout the year, with a variety of instructors and for the majority of the equestrian disciplines. A lot of people feel apprehensive about booking in for a clinic, perhaps worried on how other people may view their ability as a rider. However here at Pachesham we hold clinics that meet the needs of all, we have instructors who are able to teach from novice right up to, and often past, a semi-professional level. There is no need to feel apprehensive as everyone is in the same position, striving to better the partnership that they have with their horse.

Our Training Clinics at Pachesham offer a chance to try out new ideas, in the safety of our professional built arenas, and with the security of having a highly trained instructor to guide you. Each Training Clinic is structured in such a way as to enable each of the riders involved in it to be given the same amount of instruction as one another. In some ways it is reassuring to meet other riders in the clinic and to be able to discuss problems and ideas with them, it suddenly seems far more manageable when you realise you are not alone!

For those wishing to gain some intensive training we also host an “Adult Camp”, this is a 3 day live in camp with 2 filmed lessons per day. Further information on this can be found in our clinics and schooling schedules.

Throughout the year we also open our cross country course for Cross Country Schooling. On these schooling days the course will be fully open for schooling and training purposes. The cost of this is £15 per horse (there is no time limit) and you will need to book an approximate start time online.
If you wish to book the cross country course at other times this may still be possible but you will need a person on foot to enable you access to certain fences that are in fields that horses may be turned out in. The cost of this will be £290 each although there is a discount of £5 per horse for groups of 4 or more.

Private Tuition

At Pachesham we are proud of our New Olympic Size Outdoor Arena, this is available for hire for schooling and training purposes at a cost of £40 per hour, please contact us for further details and booking arrangements. This arena has an all weather surface and is floodlit, therefore enabling all year access to an outstanding facility. Our outdoor arena is also available to hire, the price per horse is £5 (non–exclusive use) or £25 (exclusive use). If you are travelling to us in your horsebox or trailer we have ample hard standing parking near to the facilities.  A large number of well known instructors teach at Pachesham, sometimes you may be able to arrange private tuition with an instructor you have met at one of our training clinics, or we are always happy to make recommendations.
